Boys & Girls Club Board Member Dave Carter Honored with Eddy Award
Dave Carter, member of the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach was honored with The Eddy Award on February 7, 2020 for his exemplary service and dedication to the Club. Dave has been the driving force behind bringing the Boys & Girls Club experience to children living in Lake Forest. Dave has a deep commitment to improving the lives and futures of young people, especially those most in need. Dave is an outstanding ambassador who enthusiastically encourages people to get involved and broadens awareness and support for helping our youths. Since 2012 he has been working with the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach to make this dream a reality. His leadership has enriched the lives of over 400 young people in the Saddleback Valley area and rallied others in the community to raise nearly $200K in support of these very deserving kids. Dave embodies those values that we hope all Club members will embrace: Altruism, Compassion, Service to Others, and Perseverance. We are profoundly grateful his awesome impact on so many children, families, our Club, and community.
Named after local broadcaster Ed Arnold, The Eddy Awards are presented annually by the Orange County Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs. This prestigious honor is bestowed upon exemplary volunteers, typically Board of Directors, from each Orange County club in the spirit of service and altruism. This year, the Eddy Awards were presented by Ed Arnold himself and held at Seaciff Country Club in Huntington Beach. The Boys & Girls Club would like to Dave Carter for his dedication and service to the Club and the children they help every day.
