The Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach is excited to announce that Virtual Enrichment Programs will launch soon!
Age appropriate virtual enrichment programs will be available for preschool through high school aged youth. Programs will encompass 5 program areas: arts; sports; health & wellness; education and leadership. Live stream video instruction and discussion will take place on the digital platform Zoom. Live stream programming will include: Leadership and Service such as Torch Club; Health & Wellness programs such as SMART Girls; Education programs such study hall and power hour, Art instructional videos and even a Virtual Teen Center where teens have a safe place to socialize and collaborate. The virtual enrichment programming will also include a video library that includes instructional skills in basketball and baseball, story time for Kinders, virtual workouts, yoga and meditation.
Virtual Enrichment Programs will be available on any tablet, smart phone, lap-top or computer. In these challenging times, we know finances can be tight. That is why we are excited to share that our community partner, Cox Communications, is offering 60 days of free home internet for qualifying families. After the first 60 days, the plan can continue at only $9.95/month. Signing up for affordable home internet can be the key for our youth to continue to excel academically and socially. It will allow everyone to participate in distance learning, physical education as well as the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach’s Virtual Enrichment Programming.
